  • Typical symptoms: urethral discharge, dysuria, urethral stinging/itching, and penile tip irritation, however, urethritis is often asymptomatic
  • Etiology: can be associated with complications including acute epididymitis, orchitis, and prostatitis. Main causes:
    • N. gonorrhoeae
    • C. trachomatis
    • Mycoplasma genitalium
  • Diagnosis: urine test and discharge
